Celebrating Environmental Public Health Education at the First Nations University of Canada
The Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) – Saskatchewan Branch formally acknowledged the First Nations University of Canada’s (FNUniv) educational contributions to Environmental Public Health in Saskatchewan and Canada. CIPHI presented FNUniv with a commemorative plaque and planted a tree in their native prairie garden.
“FNUniv is the only institute in Saskatchewan that is approved to train Public Health Inspectors. We were delighted to collaborate with them for the Saskatchewan kick off to Environmental Public Health Week (September 23-29, 2013),” stated CIPHI Saskatchewan Branch President Ryan Philipation. “This week, we celebrate the important work of environmental public health professionals such as Public Health Inspectors, Environmental Health Officers and other allied environmental/public health occupations across Canada.”
