For the first time in its 37 year history as an indigenous post-secondary institute of higher learning, the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) held their fall convocation in Prince Albert yesterday.
“Through FNUniv’s Prince Albert Campus, we providing pertinent university programs to northern residents,” asserted Juliano Tupone, FNUniv Acting President and Vice-President, Finance and Administration. “Our graduates chose to attend our northern campus so that they can complete a degree close to home. They also tend to return to their home communities to apply their skills to address critical needs in education, social work, health and business.”
