First Nations University of Canada’s 10th Year Milestone Marked by Robust Growth in Enrollment
First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) marks it tenth anniversary with another year of robust growth in enrollment and expansion of its community-based programs. As of today, there are 755 registered FNUniv students. This is a 15% increase year over year building on a 10% increase from 2011. In addition, each year, FNUniv welcomes up to 4,000 students from FNUniv’s federated partner, the University of Regina as well as Campion and Luther College for classes.
FNUniv is celebrating a decade as the First Nations University of Canada and of the opening of its iconic Regina Campus building by holding a full-day celebration to reflect the institution’s proud history and the vision that brought it into being as the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College in 1976. In the afternoon, a traditional pow-wow will welcome back all of FNUniv’s students.
