FNUniv Focuses on New Five Year Strategic Plan with Today’s Board Renewals
This afternoon, four First Nations University of Canada Board of Governors members, Gladys Christiansen, John Paul, Jocelyne Wasacase-Merasty and David Sharpe, were each renewed for a three year term at the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations Legislative Assembly. The vote was 39 for, 3 against and 0 abstentions.
FNUniv Board Chair David Sharpe confirmed that the Board of Governors passed the five year strategic plan at their board meeting this week and looks forward to sharing the plan with all University stakeholders.
“Students first and accountability,” stated FNUniv Board Chair David Sharpe. “Those three words sum up our 2013-2018 strategic plan. We are focusing on ensuring that our students succeed beyond their expectations as a student and as a graduate. Accountability is cornerstone to our long-term sustainability. We look forward to our faculty and staff implementing this plan and celebrating the positive results.”
