FNUniversity of Canada Proposal Shares Vale Potash Canada’s Education Challenge First Place Prize
The First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) is honoured to be one of two Indigenous educational institutions to receive funding support from Vale Potash Canada’s $50,000 Education Challenge. Gabriel Dumont Institute is the other successful proponent.
Vale’s competition invited proposals designed to increase educational opportunities related to mining and engineering for Southern Saskatchewan First Nations and Métis people. FNUniv’s recently launched strategic plan for 2013-2018, Lighting the Path, includes goals to develop innovative and relevant academic programs that will enhance the employability of its graduates, and to enhance engagement with stakeholders such as industry partners.
