COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) Information

The First Nations University of Canada will provide regular updates on COVID-19. We are working to ensure all communications for students, faculty and staff are provided on a regular basis as there may be questions that arise.

As of April 20, 2021, the current Public Health Orders have been extended to May 10, 2021. The University will continue to abide by all measures authorized by the Chief Medical Health Officer.

Details on the amendments in effect can be viewed on the Saskatchewan COVID-19 Public Health Orders website.

All campus locations implemented Mandatory Masks as recommended and all indoor spaces within the University will include:

• Public areas of a university or college campus, such as library or student union building, classrooms, hallways and other common areas, but not labs, offices or residences (dormitories)

Please review the information on masks and usage at www.saskatchewan.ca/masks. There is a short video on how to wear a non-medical mask.

A friendly reminder on the safety protocols we should follow:

• If you are sick, please stay home!
• Wear your mask when in public spaces at all times as per new public health measures
• Wash your hands frequently and for the required amount of time (20seconds).
• Use hand sanitizer, if unable to wash hands regularly.
• Maintain social distancing of 6 feet when in public spaces.
• Avoid close contact and activities with people outside of your home.
• If you are able to work from home, work from home at this time.
• Avoid unnecessary travel throughout the province.

Entrance and Exits on Each Campus

All faculty, staff, sessionals, students and visitors must continue to check-in and check out with Surveillance Screeners at the assigned entrance of each campus. The Surveillance Screeners will ask the questions in the Screening Form before you enter the campus.

Regina Campus: East Entrance
Saskatoon Campus: South Entrance (Door B)
Northern Campus: Main Entrance (Central Avenue)

Please continue to practice safe hygiene and social distancing at this time. The health and safety of everyone is of utmost importance.
