Farewell Tea in Honour of Faculty Members Patricia Elliot and Olivia Sammons

July 24, 2024

The Vice-President Academics Office hosted a farewell tea on June 27 at the Regina Campus.

Faculty member Patricia Elliot, a Distinguished Professor in Investigative and Community Journalism, was seconded by the University of Regina to the FNUniv Indigenous Communication Arts (INCA) Program for the past few years. As of June 30, 2024, she has retired from her long-term teaching career with the UofR.

Ms. Elliot was gifted a beautiful star quilt by fellow faculty members Merelda Fiddler and Shannon Avison, along with a quill, birchbark, and tufted bracelet handmade by FNUniv Alumna Larissa Ketchemonia.

Unfortunately, Olivia Sammons, an Assistant Professor with the Indigenous Languages Program, was not in attendance due to family obligations.

The FNUniv University Community wishes them well on their future endeavours.
