The Canadian Aboriginal AIDS Network (CAAN) seeks funds to bring together members of AHA Centre’s staff, Governing Council (GC) and National Aboriginal Advisory Committee (NARAC) along with other well-networked, Indigenous HIV and AIDS researchers and change agents from across Canada to discuss Indigenous Ways of Knowing and Doing (IWKD). Indigenous Knowledges are collaboratively, consensually, traditionally generated and held. We will host a series of discussions and a workshop to begin to articulate the AHA Centre’s Objective 1: To continue to entrench, model and implement Indigenous ways of knowing and doing within the AHA Centre’s Governance activities. Knowledge will be shared through traditional academic means (academic, peer-reviewed articles, conference presentations) and in Indigenous ways to be determined by the research team.
