The First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) and BHP, one of the world’s largest mining companies, have partnered to support leadership development and promote Indigenous cultural heritage. BHP’s investment of $100,000 is aimed at advancing FNUniv’s initiatives, aligning with BHP’s social investment priorities, and creating meaningful opportunities for leadership and cultural preservation.
Leadership Development Collaboration
Earlier this year, representatives from BHP and FNUniv met to discuss potential areas for collaboration. As a result, BHP committed to funding the development of a “Leading a Diverse Workspace” module.
The leadership module is currently under development at FNUniv. It will inform and empower BHP leaders with the skills and knowledge to manage and lead within diverse teams, supporting BHP’s broader goal of advancing Indigenous inclusion and leadership.
