The First Nations University of Canada Regina campus was excited to host Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen for a presentation on his upcoming Artemis II mission. Jeremy is set to become the first Canadian to travel to the Moon, adding great significance to the event. The university expresses gratitude for Jeremy’s insightful presentation and the wealth of knowledge he shared during the morning session.
At the event, Hansen revealed the patch for his upcoming Artemis II mission, designed by Anishinaabe artist Henry Guimond from Turtle Lodge on Sagkeeng First Nation, Manitoba. The patch features the seven sacred laws, adorned with animals symbolizing each law, stars for navigation, and grandmother moon representing Hansen’s destination goal.
