FNUniv 2024 Fall Orientations

September 3, 2024

Saskatoon Campus Orientation

On August 29, 2024, the First Nations University of Canada hosted an orientation for the incoming undergraduate students in the Fall of 2024. The event kicked off with a warm breakfast, giving students the chance to connect with faculty and staff from various campuses, especially the Saskatoon campus where their studies would take place. The students were guided on a tour of the campus, exploring classrooms, the library, and the student lounge. They wrapped up the day with a communal lunch.

With orientation successfully concluded, we hope the new students are ready to embrace the forthcoming challenges and opportunities. With the support of a caring community, they were all set to make the most of their time at FNUniv.

Regina Campus Orientation

On September 3, 2024 the Regina Campus welcomed the Fall term intake with orientation, the day started with a pipe ceremony led by Elder Dennis Omeasoo, students were then offered breakfast and had a “scavenger hunt” icebreaker where they were split into various groups to find certain things around the campus like classrooms and paintings. Lunch and presentations were soon to follow where Elder Margret Rockthunder said a blessing and all the students ate a meal together. Many speakers were present to offer advice and words of encouragement to our new students.

Northern Campus Orientation

The day was filled with a variety of engaging activities designed to help new students acclimate to campus life, including campus tours, meet-and-greet sessions with faculty and staff, and informative workshops on academic resources and student services.
